When you have a litter of puppies with their ears cropped, at one point do you let them run together again?

Mine come home on cups and are together immediately. Too much stress to have ears done and then also deal with being separated from littermates. They are always so happy to get back home and play and snuggle with each other. JMHO

I always let my guys be together after crops also. They seem to get comfort from each other and do better than being alone.

Thanks Wanda. Good to see you posting.

We'll see if I breed this summer....haven't got all the testing back yet.

RKCM what kind of testing do you do on your dogs? My old vet was a friend of mine since our wives worked together and having lost a dog to cardio he told me some interesting information on cardio testing and several other tests that really opened up my eyes.

I was referring to my dogs recent OFA.

My website is not up to date and I will eventually redo it. Some of the dogs are retired, but alive. We don't breed often so it is not a site to sell dogs. We ofa or penn hip, vwd, and we do heart testing through my vet. We also do thyroid and panels on our dog.

We bought our first dogs from one of the DPCA members, breeder of the year and back then didn't test. Few did, as you may know. Years ago, we didn't test and are thankful that those dogs are still alive and will be coming up on their 10th birthday soon. Two of which had UDX and agility titles. We were lucky and we are aware that there are many dogs that have died early of Cardio. Our rocky died of Cancer at 9 but both his parents were well over 10 and both Best N Show dogs. There is longivity behind our dogs and it is something we look at seriously. Unfortunately, you can have the cardio holder test and they drop dead the next day. The only test that I know that can tell what they carry is the Vwd test. I am always trying to read new information and welcome your information.

Why are you asking me this? I have no dogs for sale or bred at this time. Most of our puppies are promised before they are born and have had very few over many years. And none in rescue..
