This seems to be an issue with Dobies.. at least my first two have had them. On my first dobie (male) I had the first one to appear removed surgically so we could make sure that it was just fatty tissue, and then I just didn't worry about them. We did have to have a second one removed that got large in his armpit because it might have impeded his movement. He passed on about 5 years ago at the ripe old age of 11. My current red girl has had one removed already (when she was about 3 yrs) due to location in her crotch, and now she seems to be growing another on her butt. (about 6 yr old now) Not sure I want to do anything though.. it is not bothering her. I think I'm the only one who knows it is even there really. Anyone with this issue? Any concerns I should be aware of? My new young blue girls doesn't have any at this point, but she is young yet.

i haven't had any personal experience with this with any of my dogs but if the fatty tissue isn't interfering with his mobility or quality of life, i wouldn't worry too much about it.

In most cases, the vet will you tell you that if the areas aren't cancerous, then there is nothing to worry about.

Yes, I have had fatty tumors in a few of my Dobermans. One elderly bitch had quite a few of them when she passed.
None of these tumors seemed to cause any discomfort and seemed inconsequential to the dog's happiness.

Red, our last dobe, had a lot of those fatty tumors. Our vet checked them when they came up and said they just look bad but pose no problem.
