Looking for a breeder in Michigan

My boyfriend and I are looking at getting a Doberman this summer, and I believe I fail at searching online for breeders. Most of the ones I've found are all too far away for us. I've managed to find one place near Detroit, but you have to apply to qualify for one of the dogs from there. And I know of one person around where I live. I'd like to have more options just in case her Doberman doesn't get pregnant or I (for some reason) get denied from the other place.

Can anyone help me?

Most breeders and even, rescues will ask you to lots of questions- and qualify for one of their dog. This is a good thing because at least they are interest in placing the dog in a home that fits the puppy.

Don't rule out a rescue....either.

We just bought a Dobe puppy from a breeder in Kalamazoo and they are ready for pick up this Saturday. Don't know if this is too soon. They have 4 males left, 2 red and 2 black. If you want info let me know
