Gunner is home. Bless his heart - He has a shunt in his shoulder to allow it to drain so he is having to wear a collar to keep him from licking it out. He will be on close supervision and no exercise for 2 weeks. On leash to go outside. Poor boy. Even Animal Planet will not excite him in a couple more days.
He is resting now as he is still on pain meds. But I can't give him too much because if he feels better he will think he is Ok and can hurt himself.

Suzan how is Gunner doing? Is he healing okay. Does he need some Animal Planet videos to help occupy his time? Please send us an update.

Kathleen - thanks for asking- We have made it past one week. Next Wed we have stitches removed. He is feeling better and is very frustrated at having to stay in and stay quiet. I am not sure yet how the leg is. To me right now he is still throwing it but not as much. I hope as he heals it will straighten out. I guess it is still a wait and see game. But he is seeming to recover faster than last time.

So glad to hear that Suzan. It will be worth it in the end when he is back out in the ring where he loves to be. Keep us posted. Glad to hear he is recovering faster than before. You should send pics of him to Von they kind of are on the hope you get better soon list anyway together. Maybe they can give each other pep talks.....:D

Hey we all need pep talks but sure won't be sitting around worrying about how any of us get our points. I assume you had to enter and pay entry fees just the same as I do. HA! I graciously accept any given to me anyway I get them!!! Heck - they are darn hard to come by.

Rhiannon - I just posted an update on Von - I should have kept my mouth shut as right after I posted on my Gunner boy he hurt his leg. It was raining and he went out side just to potty and slipped - He is not putting any pressure on it so I have put him back on pain meds. Last night he did start putting weight on it to walk. He is due to go in Wed for stitch removal - UGH!!!! We were doing so good.
Wishing Gunner the best and hope he improves everyday.
Yes, we all pay our penney and they take their choices. Points are points. We can only enter our own dogs and hope that we have more, but regardless it's a point. I'd be proud and like 4ever said, we will take them however we can get them. Good for you for adding more!
Hope Gunner improves. Keep us updated....

Oh no you tell Gunner to behave himself....Dobs4ever you just need to put him in your bed and cater to him 24 / 7 until he is all better.......LOL. I still think that maybe we need to put Gunner and Von together to heal......Do you suppose they would allow Gunner to stay with Von in the Rehab center. Just tell them he is a Therapy Dog and it is imperative to the recovery process for Gunner and Von. Yeah that will work......:D I no Von would appreciate it......

Rhiannon - THAT is a perfect idea. Let Von deal with him. Two impatient's together to comfort and frustrate each other. They do say misery loves company. Gunner said he just hopes Von watches something other than Animal Planet.

Well I am sure that Gunner could convince Von to like Animal Planet fairly quickly. We are bad.
