Anyone have an opinion if it should be done?

What? Whether you should feed a puppy a raw diet or not?

My opinion: Sure, why not.

I know alot of people that feed their dogs a raw diet. All dogs are different, so their dietary needs can be different also. Some dogs cannot handle ingredients in commercial foods, so raw is an alternative.

My dogs are on commercial dry foods, however, they get raw meaty bones on a regular basis as well as an ocassionaly raw meatball (not a satin ball, just meat). This is what my dogs do well on.

I agree all dogs are different. I don't do raw it makes me want to gag - plus the challenges of traveling to a show or Natl that last all week and trying to keep food seems like a huge challenge. I am also afraid that a growing puppy might not get all the nutrients and stuff it needs to grow properly.

I do feed Satin balls occasionally and cook for mine but just can't seem to get excited about the raw thing. JMHO

Sure lots of people start their pups on RAW. My suggestion would be to do your research first, and make sure you're getting the right ratios.

I never had great luck on raw so I switch to Orjien closest thing to raw in a dry.

But isn't raw almost all protein???

Even in Raw you add veggies, fruit and rice, oatmeal - so not just protein. And to me that is the biggest challenge with raw especially with a growing puppy - You only have one chance to do it right.
