My young girl is having trouble right now with dogs on TV. Anytime I want to watch You or the Dog, or even a movie with a dog barking in the background of a scene she runs all over and looks for the dog and barks etc. I was just watching the Dobie agility video and there were barks and my blue baby (who had been happily nawing a nyla bone) jumped up and started barking. :confused:Anything to train out of? Or just let her grow out of it?

My girl Mya hates hearing and watching video of herself. We have made a few videos of her playing, and you should she her when we play it for her. It's so funny how she gets.

It's worth making a video of that.

Maybe If you keep playing video of dogs and stuff, Your doby will start to get used to it. :)

My dogs seem to like that show too. They also like The Dog Whisperer, Cesar Milan. They always cock their heads sideways and watch the misbehaving dogs. But mine just watch, no barking. What if you reassure them and say ok or thank you. My dogs like to alert me and as soon as I acknowledge their bark they settle down.

How funny..Kane does this all the time..But what happens is he has destroyed my blinds on the back window and door cause he runs over and demands (buy messing with the blinds) to be let outside so he can see who is in the back yard barking!!not real sure how to stop this so any help would be greatly appreciated..

My girl used to do this, too. I thought it was funny, until I figured out that it was not just dogs...but ANY animal she saw/heard on tv!! She got used to it...I started leaving it on animal planet so she woud get used to the sounds of other dogs and animals. She doesnt do it anymore, so Im guessing that it helped. Also, I didnt have any other dogs then, and now I have one more..which i rescued. That might have had something to do with it. She is more distracted now!! Plays ALL the time!!
