Via post by breeder:
We want to take a moment and update everyone on the situation as we currently know it. First I would like to thank each and every one of you who have supported our search by cross posting, networking and praying for Demon. We can not tell you how much we appreciate everyone's help and prayers through this. As of a few hours ago we received an anonymous tip via the internet that Demon was killed a month ago by another one of the dogs at the property he was at. Thru ip tracing on this tip we can confirm this tip was in fact placed by someone within a one block radius of the property in question. Most likely by a computer in the home itself, but at least by someone who knows the person who had possession of him, enough to know the other dogs names on the property. Demon is actually owned by DeDe Bruno of Do'Urden Kennel, he was in the process of a co-ownership agreement with a person in Austin, TX who was going to be returning him the very day he supposedly went missing. The matter and all the evidence are going to be investigated, and as we find out more details about the truth of the situation we will update everyone as we go. Thank you again to everyone for their thoughts and prayers, and if this is in fact the case, our thoughts go to Demon and DeDe in this horrible and sad time. May he run free over the bridge, happy, content, and knowledgeable about the fact he was loved and will be missed.

Sad situation and hoping the dog is alive, well, and found.

Not to put anyone down, but I wouldn't place a male doberman with other male pit bulls.......just not a good plan to me. Am I wrong here?

Just too sad to think about.....

There was an anonymous tip left to DeDe on another forum stating that Demon was killed a month ago.
There is no hard evidence to that so the search is continuing for Demon. We (meaning myself and the countless other people hoping to find Demon alive and well) are still posting his missing ad every where we can think to put it and DeDe is still trying to get information from the Austin AC and police.....
We are hoping the 'anonymous' tip was an attempt by Tye (the co-owner in Austin) at throwing us off the trail.
Until the truth is found one way or another the search will continue....

RKCM - one of the pitts is neutered. They were to be kept separate but obviously that did not happen. It was posted on the pittbull forum that she has had fights before and was told to keep them separate which she said she could handle it. Again people who do not really understand dogs in over their head and not listening. The person was very active in BSL on several forums and seemed very responsible til she wasn't. It could happen to anyone. Hindsight is always 20/20

I pray the dog is safe and this just ends up a bad nightmare.

You can read about it here

In reading the information, I assume that no one can get ahold of the owner and are not sure if the dog is alive or dead. I do know she claimed one of the dogs had a CGC and was not neutered, since I remember her posting the dog had seizures....and if I remember right, had been bred. Not too respected by me. Not a wise decisions to place a dog in this home but you are right....hindsight is 20/20. I hope they find the dog and he is a safe. May never know for sure.

This is an excellent example of why breeders ask so many questions and many refuse to place two males in a home. One doberman pup and two male pitts that at least one is unfixed is unbelievable.....add that she had to seperate them previously. Oh No! When people don't do their jobs to protect their animals, the dogs suffer.

It's sad. Hope he's alive.

I agree but with each passing day and the dead silence on the person's part I fear our hopes are not well founded. All it would take is for this person to come forward and put everything to rest once and for all. I do not know if she knows or imagined what kind of turmoil she would release on the dog fancy by posting and disappearing but she has not shown much in the way of honor or responsibility.

When I sent back and read the original post and pictures when she got the dog it did not look good then. That face will haunt me forever. So hopeful, so full of life, so inquisitive -

I got a bulk email that said he maybe in Bastrop, Tx with the owners friend. This is just unbelievable.

The poor dog we sure hope is alive but dang! He was placed in a small backyard, dirt, mind you with an intact pitt and maybe 4-5 other pitts. The boyfriend doesn't want the dog and the coowner isn't answering the phone or helping find the dog she reported stolen. Her vets office doesn't know anything about the doberman either? That's just unbelievable. Something happen to the dog and we may never know.

I remember when I got my first doberman, a rescue. I have to say I was a little put out that they wanted to visit my home to see if I was fit. I understand that now and this story is a prime example. Thank you rescues for doing home visits and thank you breeders for doing them.

There are just some people that don't need any kind of dogs. And in Austin, I really don't think you can have that many dogs by law and certainly not intact. Not that I agree with dog legislation, but they do need to enforce the laws we have and I'm sorry.....this lady needs to speak up or face the music. By telling the breeder exactly what happened to the dog and open up her home so that the whole matter is cleared.

The whole situation is sad, sad, sad for the doberman, who deserved a better home. I do hope he is found alive, but the truth is something is wrong in Austin. And did I mention coownership don't work unless the persons have trust and intrigity. Something is amiss here.

What a horribly sad situation. I don't know what to say other than I hope that the rumors regarding Demon are not true and that they do find him alive.

Nice video on youtube on Demon. Nicely done.

I made that video of Demon. I know YouTube gets LOTS of hits everyday so I figured it couldn't hurt. The more people that see his picture the more people keeping an eye out for him. I also did a poster, but again, I can't post it because I've not made enough posts. If anyone wants it to put on their website or whatever let me know and I can send it to you.
This whole situation gets weirder and crazy by the minute. Now it seems the mods/admin of one of the APBT forums Tye is a member of is in contact with Tye but will not tell DeDe what is going on, only sending a message that the rumors need to stop, Demon is fine. WTH?? Tye deleted all her pictures from Photobucket and has at least been on said forum in the past few days. She can take the time to delete photos from Photobucket but can't take the time to send DeDe a simple email?? There also seems to be a "gag order" on that forum, nobody can talk about Tye or the situation with Demon, not even in private messages. Total BS...

I love youtube and you did a nice job.

Just unbelieveable that the owner hasn't communicated with the breeder and settled this like it should be. If the dog is alive, return it. Looks like the boyfriend rules things around there and he maybe right if she had that many male dogs etc.

Whatever happens the owner sure hasn't done anything to promote either breed. It is something used against those of us in legislation against our breed. People just don't think. Such a shame for all involved.

Thanks for all the details, Suzan.

We all hope for a happy ending on this dog. The word is out and I think IF the dog is alive, he will be found.

Tye should not have let her pitt bull run together. She knew they had fought before. I mean really?? And who houses all those pitts or pit mixes in a backyard running together and then adds a doberman puppy? That just doesn't sit well with me and just have to wonder why the breeder placed him there. Her references were on a forum and who bothered to check her out. Her dogs are all on her posts. Just funny situation. Dede made a mistake by placing the puppy in a home. I'm sure she knows this now. I think this needs to be stated.

I feel really sorry for both owners but more sorry for the dogs. When you run males together, you risk problems. Coownerships don't protect the dog. People should. I am sorry he was stolen....

I believe Phoenix & Penny are purebred Pitbulls. Orion is the Lab/Pit mix and neutered. Last I'd read was they had a few Craigslist leads that turned out to be deadends.

this is a very smelly story, I dont like the sound of it, at all. There may be people involved here who should be in the Cuckoo's Nest, Id say.

I think that is where I should be for posting to the thread. LOL

This needs to be handled between the two people involved and maybe locally. All this drama on forums really isn't finding the dog, if he can even be found. Who knows what happened. It is a smelly story....poor dog.
