Our great neice, Taylor who has always been terrified of dogs, was in on vacation last week and all the kids (5 of them) were visiting. When she saw Jett her eyes just about bugged out of her head and she said "she's huge!" Taylor sat down on the swing and the rest of the kids were playing frisbee with Jett out in the yard. After about 10 min. Jett brought the frisbee to Taylor and quietly laid it and her head down in Taylor's lap. They just sat there for with each other for a few seconds while we all held our breath hoping Taylor didn't freak out. It was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. Needless to say she won Taylor over. At one point, they were laying side by side giving Jett giving Taylor sloppy dobe kisses for scratching her belly. Before Taylor left she had to have her picture taken with Jett to show all of her friends. How's that for those silly people that think all dobes are vicious

OMG, that is wonderful. I'm so proud of both of them! And ya know, that single moment will always be a special memory for Taylor. Way to go Jett! :)

P.S. WHERE'S THE PIC?

Dobermans are such intelligent sensitive dogs and are not vicious dogs. While as in any dog, temperament is genetic and training. I would say that most of the problems are do to poor training or people.

Thank you so much for this wonderful story. Hope you have pictures! Here is one that we love.....

That is great! I love hearing stories like that. Shows how intuned they are to us. Speaks volumes about her upbringing etc. You must be very proud of her. Of both of them.
And would also love to see pics of that.

Another great example of just what these guys do jett picked her out because of what she sensed and saw and deep down inside she just couldn't leave her be that way. Good for the both of them and this is the kind of thing that happens when someone invests the time and effort in there dog little life altering things that change people's lives for ever. A very good example of one of the most criticized stereotyped breeds there is and the real fact of the matter is they are tough very driven and commanding on they outside and on they inside they are sensitive loyal and very emotional and very in tune to there environment owners and what is theres. Jett did something that will forever change Taylors life with out prompting in away only she could have at the right time and moment.

Very touching story. Jett is truly amazing to sense her fear and help her work it out. Thanks for sharing.
