Sorry for the poor picture quality. This is from my old iPhone. I really need to find the battery to my camera so I can do his rust markings some justice!
The ball that he has between his paws is SO GREAT. I would recommend it to anyone who's dogs just doesn't care for ball or fetch. Crom will play with a tennis ball but I can tell his interest isn't all there. Then we got this thing. It flashes and plays a different noise/tune every time it hits something. It even goes off if he drops it from his mouth, so he doesn't always need someone to throw it to make it go off :) he really gets a kick out of it. I don't know exactly if he loves to play with it in the dark, but the other night I was tossing it around and it seemed like he was going nuts over it flashing in the dark.
And the one where he is sitting with his legs out is right after I told him to "leave it" and he was giving me this "ummm, what" look. Haha.
What a beautiful boy! I know you are so proud of him!
Watch the cords though. Puppies will chew on everything.

I just noticed that he is wearing a harness. Does he wear the harness all the time? If so, you may want to rethink that as the harness worn all the time will rub the fur off and leave bald spots on contact points. If you want him to wear something all the time, I would choose a collar, not a harness. Use the harness for walking (I assume that is what you originally got it for).
Just something to consider.

Thank you! About the cords- he's doing much better about not chewing on them anymore. It sure took a while but he's finally stopped going chew-crazy. I put the lamp in there in order to get some better lighting for the photos... I really need to find my camera's battery. Lol.
Thank you Shadowlands- I will go ahead and put his collar back on in that case. I was just keeping his harness on him because we had a brace on his neck that really interfered with his collar, but now that we're done with that I'll go ahead and put it back on. We definitely don't want any bald spots!

Funny how we have to do sometimes. I can't find my charger to my camera right now. May have to get a new one.
I saw those cords and thought my pups would of thought....CHEW TIME....
We have never used a harness but slip lead work for us. We use the snap off collars for safety. It works for us.
Thanks for sharing those darling pictures.

You know, I didn't really realize how terrible all those cords look in that photo... hahaha. There really is a lot back there, huh! Really only two of them (they're right behind his head in the last photo) are the only two that are exposed and thus are the only ones he ever messed with! After constant redirecting him he has finally nearly stopped even caring about the cords. He loves that huge tennis ball though... ;)

I didn't think it looked bad, just amazed he didn't chew it. LOL. We have been hiding ours and one puppy is just set on killing himself. We have band him from the living room. Puppies are so funny. I was thinking that is one trained puppy........lol

Very nice looking lil boy, I hope that head broadens and grows to match the ears hahaha those are pretty long and definetly exceed the eye corners. A very nice expression!!!! "train em up". Von

von- I've noticed he does have quite the slender face! And the ears are way longer than I was actually expecting them to be. We did request the long crop, and the vet actually did not think his ears would do so well at first until he put him under anesthesia and really got a good look at him. When I took the posts off this last time I was in shock how long they were! Haha.
Thank you Panama- actually I didn't want to put his posts back in because after 15 hours his ears were still up! But I wanted to be safe so they're back in their posts.
RKCM- it took so long to get him to not chew those cords. I tried that bitter apple spray, but he loved it. I'm pretty sure he just knows that those two cords are no-no's because he'll still go for any other cord that he's not familiar with :)

I'm not a big fan of todays show cut to me it would look ok on a Great Dane. They do grow into their ears and he will look good in time. Maintain your work right through teething and you should have no problems at all. The show cut from the early 70s was a nice cut in length and had the little show curl on the tip. But as mentioned on another thread most vets are terrible at cropping and the very best croppers are from the private sector. Von
