We find Magnum loves a routine. He seems to know basically what are schedules are and is happy when we stick them. He seems to get stressed when we change are timetable around or starting doing something different.

Very much so. Everything we do is closely monitored by Doberman Security Incorporated.

My old girl Star, needs her routine. Anything that throws her off at her age, really throws her off.

Last night the window was open and it was raining so Apollo's bed got a little wet so it was to late to take it apart wash & dry it so I put a few bed sheets down and a comforter on top he looked at me like "where's my bed? Do you expect me to lay on that, not gonna happen." (most nights he's not totally laying on it he's half on and half off of his bed) So all night long he was moving from spot to spot in the bedroom looking for a good spot ( couldn't find one) he woke me up all night as if to say "hey can you get my bed or can I lay with you?" Makes me wonder because we're looking for a house, how it will affect him. I think with him as long as he has his bed he's OK because when we take him to the campground I bring his bed and he doesn't have any issues. We'll see.

I moved alot in my First 10 years working. And took my animals with me (2 dogs and a cat). They all settled in very quickly once you got your furniture in and they recognized the stuff. When I had to keep them in a kennel situation or in an appt with rented furniture, it was harder on them. So, yes creatures of habit and of familiar surroundings

Oh yes for sure. Although still young, it is funny to watch how he makes his own little routines and habits.

Oh my yes. When the TV clicks off at night.. boing! straight to the door for the last run, sometimes they just run upstairs to their crates. And we won't go into the dinner time antics. (I feed at 5pm and they start anticipating at 4pm)..

Both our dobe and lab are "scheduled". They know when I come home late from the hospital that it's time for the last walk of the night before "nite-nite". They know when it's time for breackfast or dinner because they whimper and wait at the basement door to go down to their crates to eat. They know when it's time for us to eat or talk about a meal because their ears perk up and their ready for whatever we're going to eat too.
