Their name was brought up on another forum and there was some question about them, could have been testing back then but maybe they've added some screening since then. Their dogs are pet quality to me and the lines on one of the bitches goes back to Tolivar which was a repected line back in the middle 60s through the 70s. I tested a few of the dogs from them (Tolivar) and I believe they were capable animals. Might have been a mid-west breeder, I get cautious about a vet breeder don't know why but I think theres a bag of Science Diet attached hahahaha!!! Von
Very nice family....her daughter shows a doberman in Jrs. and I believe in obedience. They are also showing in conformation. She is a vet. Jana Dupre showed one dog for her a while back but not sure how that went for them. If you live in that area, you should go there and just see the dogs. What is good to one person isn't to others. Honest and not a greeder that's for sure. And the fully health test from what I have been told. This I know first hand......we have seen them at the shows occassionally.
They sold a puppy to a young couple in Tulsa and she was adorable. She showed up at the beginners class at our club and they were working her in obedience. Haven't seen her this year.

yeah, the peds weren't that impressive however, I have seen more impressive peds with lesser dogs. what I like above all, pet or not, they do something with ther dogs, (4h or Jana duPre) liked and more taken the aft titles much more than the fore. Depending on price and availability if this person is a pet breeder, she cerainly appears to exceed soem othe more *&*** breeders, perhaps that is largely do to her occupation.
RKCM..I don't think I have seen a puppy that wasn't adorable!!!

I gave you the first hand information that I have on the family. It is a good thing that the mother and daughter have an interest in showing and obedience. I really know anything about their pedigrees etc. Doing something with your dog is important and sure better than doing nothing.
And Twig, a pet breeder is one that breeds only for pets and selling dogs to pet homes. I believe that this family has goals to win in several venues. So in my circles, we don't really call them a pet breeder.
Why are you asking if you already have an opinion of this member of the forum?
I can tell you that if I was going to buy a dog I could do some research and go there.......but if you don't like the pedigree what's the point?
Yes, all pups are adorable but some are better quality than others by 6 months of age....but they are adorable.

Becky without using a quote, I was not referring to your post. I was actually responding to Vons though, you may want to read his reply to me! If I were looking for just that a pet, I would have no problem with them at all. AND AS I MENTIONED I LIKE THE AFT TITLES. I have felt that through your post directed at me that there appears to a certain amount defensiveness. I have no desire to argue, debate or anything else with you or any member on this foru,m so please lighten up and do not take things as if they were deliberately directed at you! and are you indicating that this person is a member of the forum? then great. guess, I never knew that given that you are on a first name basis with so many people.

Becky, last thought on the matter, I am well aware of the difference between a pet and a "show breeder" that has many high priced pet puppies and the occassional show potential. . So please don't add insult to injury! And please do not go into the speil regaring the cost of testing...I am well aware of that as well. some of which is only done once! sometimes I honestly think that you do not have or choose not to have the time to thoroughy read the post before you respond or you merely pick a portion and go from there! sorry, this is not meant to insult you but I am tired of walking on egg shell, with the opinion thta is supposedly viable being yours. there are many people on this forum who have had far more expereince in the various venues than others.
I do not know this breeder personally but I see by the website that she fully health tests, shows her dogs in several venues, and has titles on both ends. Each person that buys a dog in their own area need to do their research 1st hand.
You need to remember that she is a member of the forum and deserves the same respect as any other member.
