I'm a newby to this website but not to dobermans. We had a red male named appropriately "Red". We lost him to cardiomyopathy in February. He was 11 1/2 yrs. We adopted him at 9 mos. We just adopted a new red female named Lucy and she is 1 yr. She is a rotten mess:D but what dobe isn't!!

I'm curious to know why she is a "rotten mess". When our boy was a pup, he was a rotten mess for a lot of different reasons.

Well Rich, she is typical puppy! She gets into stuff she knows she shouldn't. And when you correct her she trys to give kisses. She schmoozes everyone at the firehouse and has made many friends. She doesn't know a stranger. She thinks she's a lap dog. She has enough energy to cure our energy needs for awhile. When I say mess, I mean it in a loving and positive way!

Welcome to the forum. My blue baby (2yrs old) still is a mess! She knows better but can't help herself apparently. She can resist anything but temptation as the saying goes :)
