Let's see how many of you have or had this problem. (Maybe It's just me) Apollo use to squat (or just stand) to urinate all the time and I never thought he would grow out of it and lift his leg. Finally a few weeks ago at the camp ground he started lifting his leg I was happy for him like when your child learns how to use the bathroom by themselves. He still squats but not all the time. He's 8 1/2 months old I was told that when they matured and there testicles dropped that they would lift there leg, it still took him a while. He hasn't peed on anyone yet...

Some of my friends would laugh and joke about it (all in good fun) saying look how big and intimidating he looks and he pees like a girl.

i find my dog only lifts his leg to mark something. Like on our walks, he'll lift his leg the whole walk. But in the backyard, he just kinda leans forward and pees

Apollo is the same way now and I have to refuel him on the walk so he can mark up more trees.

Ha.. one of my prior dogs , a rotty/lab cross - female, lifted her leg when she peed. She was the queen of the house for sure . Lost her to Cancer some time ago :(

Our previous dog, a boxer, never once lifted his leg.

Our boy Magnum lifts his leg 90% of the time. Makes me so proud.
