I have no real grass in my backyard.. it is about 1/2 acre of natural area with trees and bushes. In the middle I have a patio and there is liriope grass planted around the patio to prevent erosion. This time of year my dobies start in on the acorns.. I have very large oak trees out back. I find bits everywhere and then they eat the liriope grass. Either of these are just about guaranteed to make them throw up. I have tried adding green beans to their food, my red will not touch any veggies. :( They have good food and vitamin supplements are in good weight and have nice coats. Anything that you all can think of to make this urge go away?

Unfortunately it is the whole back yard. Impossible to block off.

I don't know if this will work but when you teach them to not chew on your furniture, shoes, or other things your supposed to tell them now and give them something they can have. Another option is to get rid of the acorns by chopping the trees down (costly I bet) or raking them out everyday. Or maybe try to get some sort of outside toy that they will find more amusing than the acorns. As far as the grass I don't know.
