Hi everyone, I already posted a question about getting a doberman in apartment, and I thought finaly, NO, bcuz Im feeling sorry for the dog in so small place.
But again, when I see doberman, I want to cry, they ARE PERFECT. :(

I would excercise him, but I dont know if I could do it more then 1 - 2 hours every day...:(
Is that enough or not ? :(

Weekends would be longer OFC...but working days I think thats max I can do it...what to you guys think ?
Really need advice or help...starting to freak out here...:/

I don't know why the size of your house is something everybody considers when getting a dog. No dog needs a big house, because they aren't going to be racing around your house. You just need to take your dog out multiple times during the day to toilet. Plus walks, obviously. Two hours a day is fine. It's recommended that all dogs are walked at least an hour a day.

I would first make sure the landlord is going to allow a medium to large dog. A 15-25 lb puppy is cute and all, but once he or she reaches 60-80 lbs are they still going to allow it? When I adopted Tess, they told me that was one of the main reason dogs get turned into them and why people get turned down. So, if your landlord says it's ok, make sure they are aware of how big he/she will could end up being.

I had my Dobe in a moderate sized 1bed room apartment for a year and he was fine, but he was an adult dog. Jim and Debi have good points, you may be better off adopting an adult Dobe.

A puppy will require a LOT of time and effort for training not just crating. jmo.

Well I think you really have to evaluate it from the dogs side to be fair, can you give him all that he is really going to need. Exercise, training, inoculations a safe environment......... ect ect I think you get my meaning. Sometimes the most responsible thing is to evaluate what you can or can't do to meet a pups needs. I'f you can thats great if you can't wait a while and maybe your situation will enable you to. You are they only one who really knows if you can meet the pups needs which are many, wanting a pup shouldn't be the sole reason for getting one it is just part of it. For what it's worth I agree Dobermans are perfect just don't tell everyone I said so! LOL
