Hello!
My name is Kristen. I am 18 years of age and I currently own and operate a small business called Kayemm’s Place. (The name of the business and my screen name used to be my pen name when I wrote). I am a dog trainer, groomer, and sitter. I have one part time employee who assists me in training. I have been training, grooming, and sitting for over a year (close to two). I began training after apprenticing under a local trainer. I have high hopes for the future of my business. I am also in college (associates in science) with plans on either going to veterinary school, or furthering my education in training. (I’m still quite stuck between the two. Vet school means 8 years of hard work, and then possibly not liking it, but being proud that I did it. Continuing my education in training means several months of hard work but knowing I’ll love my job even if I’m not making as much as a vet would.) I currently own a small dog, and a lovebird. My sister has a parakeet. On November 4th, 2011, Theo, the red Doberman puppy will be joining my family. I will begin training with him as soon as he is comfortable in his new environment. I hope to be well into training by Christmas, when my mother’s boyfriend has plans of getting a German Shepherd Puppy. (Doberman and German Shepherd are two of my favorite breeds). I have been wanting a Doberman for approximately 5 years, but have only recently been able to afford the costs associated with bringing home a puppy. During the 5 years I’ve wanted a Dobie, I have researched the breed extensively, as well as researching food brands, and other dog related topics. I have plans of feeding the puppy Blue Buffalo Wilderness Puppy food, and switching my schnoodle to Blue Buffalo as well. (I’m still debating on the food brand. Can anyone suggest other great food brands?) I’m also currently in debate on the types of toys, bones, and chews to bring home with the puppy. (Any suggestions would be great).
Thanks for reading!
