My name is mel and I live in Arlington WA with my lovely wife Tina and our Black and Tan Dobe Panic. Panic will be 7 months next week and is like a 2 year old boy, allways trying to see what he can get away with. I have taught him sit, down, shake, and he comes most of the time now but still gets distracted. But i just trick him to coming and it works about everytime, If he's off the leash and gets too far away i just call his name and then crouch down when he looks at me. Then he will start to creep up on me then when he gets closer i run away from him towards where i want him to go and he will then chase after me as fast as he can. I think i taught him sit, down and shake too close together though cause when he gets excited about the treat he sit then drop straight to down then try to get up and shake his paw lol. I can get him to stay for like 30 seconds max before he wanders off and we start over. When i play with him we play rough and he play bites but there is never any pressure, i hear this may get worse when he gets older but if you say ow even though he did'nt touch you he acts like he bit off your arm he's so sorry. When were playing sometimes i will drop to the floor and put my hands on the sides of my face and look down and play dead, He will nudge me then lay down on side of me and "Hide" behind my shoulder till start moving again. Well i've probaly went a little overboard on the introduction here, but what else is the internet for besides talking to strangers, google-ing everything, and porn?

Welcome to DH, I'm sure you will enjoy yourself here. We are a young site but we are getting new people every day.

The more the merrier..sounds like you are having fun with your puppy. The play stage lasts most of their lives. They just love it.
