Hello everyone this is my first post on here and cant wait to learn and contribute more. I havent owned a Doberman in the past (im still young). I am moving out on my own finally and cannot wait to get my own. I have found a registered breeder where I am located. I have worked with pets of all types for over 6 years in the petstore business. I no longer work in that field so im a bit rusty when it comes to foods and such. I am wondering if someone can forward me a receipe for the Barf diet for my up and coming doberman puppy.

Thanks in Advance

You want to find a ethical breeder, who health tests, shows their dogs, and has AKC champions. Google DPCA breeder referral to find a list in your state. Go visit and take your time finding a good dog. Ethical breeders will not sell to pet shops, it's against their code of ethics. Hope you don't mind me telling you this.

We feed Diamond Natural to all our dogs. Puppies should have more than 24% protein due to growing too fast with higher levels and not good for the hips.

Welcome to the forum and ask anything you want. We have a wide variety of experience doberman fans here.

I am a Raw feeder and I suggest the PMR Diet (prey model raw)...it has some similarities to the barf diet but main difference PMR does not use veggies and fruit ...just Raw meat Bones and organs!

Good luck!!...whatever way you go...BARF or PMR...your dog will love you for it!!

thanks RKCM. I would never buy a dog from a pet store personally either. The breeder i have found is CKC reg'd. the puppies will come with dew claws removed and tails docked. and dog crate, leash and collar, stainless steel food and water bowl, bag of premium puppy food, discount on puppy training course and boarding at a selected kennel. We also offer a health guarantee on all of our puppies, as well as lifetime support.

Thanks Nupe gonna look into those links more.

Cant wait to get my new friend. Someone who I can come home to and doesnt judge me :)
