I've joined two Doberman sites this week. This one looks like a good one. I'm looking forward to joining the group here.
My name is Phil and I've been active with Dobermans for 25 years now. My wife and I typically have one or two Dobermans at a time and we are currently on our seventh.
I have been active in AKC conformation showing (my wife and I are past members of the Santa Ana Valley Doberman Pinscher Club), as well as obedience. Now that I have two children I tend to do much less of this because my time is more limited. I have owned Dobermans from both American show lines and European working lines (a big difference, but just as fun).
I also keep other breeds. My current dogs are Doberman Elsa (a nice Doberman of South American, American and European lines), blue heeler Rudy, and redboned coonhound Abby. Yes, they make quite the mod squad.
Elsa (Marienbug's Black Forest Gypsy) is about 2 1/2 right now.
