Well Jett had a big learning day yesterday. She got her teeth brushed :) I used the finger cot to start her then introduced the brush to her mouth for a few seconds. I use "Enzadent", which is chicken flavored and boy did she think that was just the berries!! Of course she licked like crazy and it was hard to get to her teeth, but she liked the experience. I don't think it will be long before I can use the toothbrush with her.
She also got her coat brushed and decided she liked that too. Enough to take the brush out of my hand, turned it toward her side and looked at me like she was saying "was that all I get?". She got a big 'ole massage for being such a good girl while being groomed.

Very good. I do not brush teeth, though I know I should. I give them denta-bones and stuff that is supposed to be good at cleaning teeth. My fur kids love the chicken flavor, but are too much into eating it to let me brush. So far their teeth are good per the vet.
I've tried. I bought the tooth brushes and doggie toothpaste, but only one will let me so I take them to the vets once a year to get a good cleaning.

Everyday, everyday... You will have to get them use to it just like your kids they will fight you on it, but you have to be consistent and they will get use to it. We started Apollo early because I knew this would be a problem now all three go up stairs and brush there teeth before bed.

That's too cute... just picturing... :D Amazing what you can train these dogs to do! I am continually being amazed by how my Deano (my first dobe, rescue) picks up on new behaviors so quickly even with his fearfulness issue.

I tell you it is amazing the things they learn so quickly, I tell my wife all the time the dog picks up after himself (mostly his toys) why is it so hard for the kids to do it.

If my kids had the temperament of a Dobe, they might have cleaned their rooms once in a while!!! LOL
