I thought that title might catch the attention of most. But I do have a serious question though. I'm curious if anyone else has a doberman with machine gun fire gas? Seriously, when we take Magnum for walks, he often lets out these farts at a rapid pace. It even scares him. It seems like he is relaxed on his walks, maybe a little to relaxed.

That is a good title Rich. Even if you didn't want to click on it, your compelled to.
My girl Maggie is a farter on her walks as well. Although I wouldn't say machine gun farts. I can't stop laughing.

Yep we've got a farter too Rich. Red gets all "fired up" on his walks, especially when he's running.

ROFL!!! I can say that this is one problem I am extremely glad not to have.
The funniest picture in my mind is...
It even scares him.
ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully... Our Dobermans are not farters!! :)

Oh yes, the farting dog thread. It was just a matter of time i suppose. People can't resist this topic.

I've came here from another Doberman site. And I have to say this thread never came up. I'm surprised though, it is a common "issue" with dogs.
Fart on my four legged friends, fart on.

How many times in this world do you think this phrase has been used?
"It was the dog"

My dogs are silent but deadly. I have been watching that Activia commercial for a while now and for the last month I have been putting plain yogurt in as a dressing on their food about 2 times a week. I have to say I think it is working. Plus they love the stuff. I'm getting it cheap store brand, plain yogurt in the large tub and it is an easy adder. Whatever you do - no Pizza Crusts... that is asking for it!

Plain yogurt eh? Who would have thought. Thanks for the tip.

You would think yogurt would make things worse. Dairy and dogs, you try it first Rich, and let the rest of us know how that goes.

It sounds like a risky experiment. I'm not sure I want to be around if things go bad.

I didn't think of it that way, just thinking that if it regulates humans it might help my dogs. Just a heaping tablespoon full, not alot. It has really helped around here. At your own risk I guess. :)

We own a camping trailer and the master bedroom is only 9x9 and when the bomb is released there is no were to run it usually happens as we lay down to go to sleep or during the middle of the night. It will wake a dead body, but apollo stays asleep or gives you that look like "yeah that's right i did that".

Cottage cheese? Really? I love the stuff..and I guess it makes sense that my dogs would too. (my dogs are extreme treat motivation puppies) I do want to amend my recommendation on the yogurt with a timing.. I give it to my dogs (1 heaping tablespoon) 2x-3x a week.. usually in breakfast meal. Do you do the cottage cheese every meal?
apollo

no I gave him 3x a week when I started it 2 months ago but now I do 4x because growing so fast apollo went to the vet 2 months ago (few days after I started the cottage cheese) because he was limping on his leg and didn't want to eat or move I thought it was lime because of where we camp (the vet thought so too, the test was negative) come to find out that his body was growing faster than his bones so I told him what I was doing with the cottage cheese and he said it was a good idea and just to keep him on that until he is fully matured. Since then apollo has been doing great.
