Hello, my name is Lyndsey and I'm new to the forums. My family and I live in Oklahoma, and are excited about the future new addtion to our family. We will be getting a red/rust female Dobie towards the end of March. She is only a little over week old right now. We can't wait!! This will be our first Dobie, so please share any tips, tricks or good stories about you dobies that will help us when ours gets home.

:D

Thanks! My breeder just sent me a couple of new pics, and I will try and get them on here. She is almost 1 week 4 days old now. Poor mama jumped off an icy deck and broke a leg!! My baby is being handfed for about 1 week with 3 others and then they will be switched with the next 4 pups, just to make it easier on the mom. I'm getting way too excited and I still have 7 weeks + to go!!!

Congrats on new pup! You chose a wonderful breed. Looking forward to seeing pics. Do you have her named yet or are you going to wait and see what she's like before naming her?

Sue J, We kinda wanted to wait to name her, but our breeder asked if we would go ahead and give her a name so she can start using it when she talks to her. I think it is so awesome that our breeder starts housebreaking, leash training, and getting pups to come to their names before they even go home. She starts this a 6 weeks, and we wont get the little girl unti she's about 10 weeks.

We are going to call her Sienna.
