So sweet. Dobies are great with Kids. When my niece was 5 years old, she didn't like to be alone upstairs at my house when visiting. Once she got the temper going at her mom, and decided she was leaving and going upstairs. So she turned to Sara ,my little dobie, and said "come on dog" and left with a humph with Sara following after. It cracked us up so bad... had to cover the giggles though to leave her some dignity.

Nice picture ~ I'm new, so I'll share a little bit.
All the kids are out of the house, and it was way too quiet. My mom was terrified when we announced we were getting a 2 yr old blue Dobe from a rescue. Of course, we were careful about introducing our girl Friday to the grandbabies, but day one she proved what a lady she is. Brett (18 months) decided to go in for a big hug, and she just patiently sat, allowing him to look at her ears and even her teeth.
We don't know where she came from, only that she was a stray picked up by animal control in WV, but she is the sweetest dog i have ever met. I'm totally in love, and safe from local squirrels! (mom still has some issues w/ big dogs, but i think Friday will win her over eventually)
I'm sure I'll be coming to this site for advice, thanks!!
