Anyone use them? I've read good and bad things about them. I haven't ever used them, but do wonder if they would help as my loves get older and the flexibilty goes down.

It's true, Magnum wont go near them when the bowls are in the stand.

When I first got Indigo and Sara... they wouldn't go up and down stairs. They were full grown too. The first couple of days I had to carry them.. now I hope they don't die running flat out up and down the stairs.

Tie's picky about which types of stairs he'll go up and down. I have concrete stairs going to the basement, and he's NEVER gone down them

There was a study conducted by some university, cant seem to find the link that suggests that large dogs that eat out of raised bowls are at increased risk of bloat.

That's really interesting. I'd love to read that article. I guess Magnum has a good reason to be scared of the elevated bowls.

How are elevated bowls better, when nature has evolved the animal to eat off the ground??? Definitely more decorative, but I'm suspicious that this is just another product created to play on owners' desires to humanize or pamper their pets...:(

I have an 8" elevated bowl they say it's less stress on there neck but everyone has pro's and cons about everything. For humans- one day red meat is good the next it's not, you should drinking alot of water but to much is bad for you...

apollo do your dogs make a mess with water in the elevated bowls? I've wondered if they would decrease the flood Jett makes when she drinks. Mr. Mopp is my full time kitchen accessory now. Swiffer easier but man the $$$ when I use it everytime we turn around.

Yeah they do sling water around a bit.. but you ain't seen nothing till you see my rottie. She can bring a gallon with her and then instantly wants to put her head in your lap. Droolly dog for sure!

There is absolutely nothing you can do about the Niagara falls other than clean it up The 8" bowl makes no difference.
