Hi all! My name is Courtney and I guess I'm what you'd call a Doberman enthusiast. I don't own a Doberman, but I've always loved how they look and I'm seriously considering owning one when the time is right (hopefully, by this time next year or soon after). Right now, I'm just doing as much research as I can, to ensure that this breed is the perfect one for me, versus others on my list - Catahoulas and Greyhounds, to be specific.
To tell you a little bit about me, I'm 22 years old and have owned dogs my entire life. My first dog was a sweet little Poodle X Terrier that I had for his entire life. He was 16 when he passed away and I was devastated. Shortly after, my mom brought home a Lab X Shepherd pup from the SPCA. I've done a lot of the training on Taz, and I'm proud to say that she's gone from a dog who once ate a wall to one that will not eat a piece of meat until she has permission to do so, even if I put it in her mouth and tell her to wait. She's coming on 4 years old now, and she's a great dog.
In addition to the dogs, I have a passion for hedgehogs. I currently own three, and they are my absolute pride and joy. In my free time, I moonlight as a freelance website designer. It's interesting, to say the least, and I come across some real, uh... characters.
I guess that's me in a nutshell. I hope you don't mind me poking around and asking a bunch of questions - I really don't believe in bringing home a dog unless I know everything there is to know about the specific breed. It's not fair to the dog if I go into this blind.
