My dobe I feel has a water obsession, it seems when she gets bored she drinks, if her bowl is empty and I fill it, she seems to just drink because I put the water in it. She is only 3.5years old and she has some problems at times with when she is laying down she dribbles some urine. she will just drink all the time. Any Ideas??

she needs a lot less than you think, a couple of bowls a day is plenty, lift the bowl and only put it down for a little drink a few times a day, too much water though can be a sign of ill-health...i would consult a vet 1st,

Don't want to frighten you, but excessive drinking is one symptom of diabetes. Leaking urine makes me also wonder if she might have a UTI. I hope it's neither, but sounds like taking her to a vet might be a really good idea. Let us know what happens.

I agree with Sue J. Vet trip sounds in order here.

yes a vet is a good idea, but if they dont find anything it could be ur dog is just obsessed with water. my gunnar would drink every drop u put in front of him, he was none stop with it, then have accidents, even just tickling everywhere he walked cuz he drank so much, we have limited his water to a few bowls a day he seems to be much better
