Every time i go into the corner store thre are people buying lotery tickets.

What i find just absolutly hilarious is that IF they win like $5 bucks, the just buy more tickets!!!!!!

big waste of money in my opinion.

Ya i get the occasional scratch ticket. not because i think im going to win but just because i'm either bored.. and theres a slight chance of winning ;)

I remember buying my first navada tickets... I only bought 2 of them (50 cents a peice) and i won 100 bucks!

I guess some people live by the rule "if your not in, you can't win". It makes sense really, you have to play the lottery if you hope to win some day.

My mom used to buy me scratch off tickets when I was a kid. Usually I just one a "free ticket," haha. Once I did win $20 though which was really cool. But I bet mom spent $100 on them over the years.

Exactly dobman lottery tickets are mere waste of money and time. People who invest their money in such things can invest it in stock market or in some business. Due to increase in the use of lottery tickets in my home town (Tamilnadu, India), the government banned the sale of lottery tickets in the year 2000. This should be done all over the world.

I think if people spend a few bucks a month on a lottery ticket, there is no harm in that.

I do agree that some people waist too much money on scratch tickets and lotteries. Some people get caught up in the idea of winning big money, and end up spending a lot of money trying to do so.

So, you stay in Chennai?
I am from Hyderabad, AP.

Well... Lottery tickets were banned over here.
But, I got to know that they are still doing this
secretly! However... Its illegal right now!
