Hi there. I am new to this forum. I just got a rescue dobie at 7 weeks last week. I have two minature doxies also. I had a Doberman about 10 years ago but he died during neutering. There is nothing like a Doberman! My doxies are so different!

Welcome to a great forum. Sorry about losing your dobe before, but your heart will warm up quickly with a new baby. Got pics yet?

He did not wake up from the anesthesia. Deep down I believe the vet caused it. But there was no way to prove that. Besides I was so hurt at the time.

Well I hope you now have a different vet. That is so terrible and heartbreaking.

Welcome from Missouri. Vets often over medicate during surgery and a dog is too far down to wake up and come out of it. That is a horrible thing to have to face. Sorry for your loss. I know you are excited to have a new puppy. Nothing like puppy breathe kisses.

Congratulations on your new puppy and joining the group I'm sure your enjoying having a dobe again and you are right about doxies being so different my wife had one when we first started to go out and he ruled the roost. Sorry to hear about your old dobe what a traumatic way to loose a dog. But enjoy your new puppy they are loads of fun!
