Wow, I don't know what happened but Sabrina finally decided it was time to walk at a heel position instead of pulling me down the driveway. I've tried collars, gentle leader, a harness and after a good intro period she would get excited and forget manners and be back to walking ahead of me full speed ahead. Then last week it was a if someone switched dogs on me, I put her back pack on and she glued herself to my leg. She stayed right next to me till I let her loose on BLM land. The next walk was without the pack, still heeling very nicely. Then we took her to a bird refuge with our two grand babies in front packs, new place lots of yummy smells and she still did very well. I was careful not to let her get her nose to the ground and start tracking smells.
I don't know if it is her age, she just turned 19 months, or what but boy am I glad. She's settled down a lot in the last 3 months.
