Hi everyone! well I switched Brody from Nutro to Blue Buffalo, and he has had loose stools for about two weeks so far...Is there anything I could give him to firm his stools up? any suggetions? also have any of you used Blue Buffalo before? Brody is now 8 months old doing great except for this. switched from nutro because had major eye boogers and skin was really dry, so far that has gone away since new food but not good bowel movements.

I have never tried it but always heard canned pumpkin is great to add. Never can tell with food what is going to work best. Good luck.

Switching dog foods needs to be done over a month at least in order not to upset the stomach an intestines. If he was just switched cold then it might take him a little longer to even out. I start with a 25% 75% mix for 1 week then 50/50 for one week the 75/25 for a week then they are totally on new. If it continues you might need to get an antibiotic from the vet. Sometimes it does cause a bacteria to set up in the intestine.

Well he is lucky to have such a caring person. I would give him an imodium two or three times a day for 2 days and see if he improves. If not then to the vet. Or you can just go to the vet and see if he needs antibiotics.
