Hello Everyone

Hello, I will be getting a doberman later this summer (take home late Sept) and I am just doing as much research as possible right now. I have never owned a dobe but I have always wanted one. I will be getting a female red.

As my research goes I will have tons of questions :confused: (I already do hahaha) I already have my breeder picked out and I am in constant contact with them and they are extreamly helpful.

I just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone and thank you all in advance for your help.

UPDATE: I talked to my breeder two das ago and the litter is due in three weeks. Some one esle has first pick for male and another has first pick for female. I have second pick for female and the ultrasound showed 6 pups. There is about 36 people who had puppy applications on this litter hahaha (great breeder, I am driving 5 hours just to do buisness with this breeder)

I will keep everyone updated as time goes by.

Are you planning on showing in obedience or conformation or any events? Obedience is so much fun for the dogs and you. Best wishes

I want to do obediance. She will only be limited registration so I don't know exactly what I can do with her in that area.

you have no idea. I have been waiting over a year to get a pup from this breeder and I get to take her home Sept 9th :D

Congrats on your new puppy and you can do anything with her except the conformation ring with Pet registraton - so have a ball. It is all fun!!

thank you, I didn't plan on doing any ring work (sounds and looks like too much work) I am up to doing the stuff that will be fun like agility. I know it is a lot of work too but much more fun for me and my girl.

I'm sure you will love your Doberman pup. My female Doberman had a litter of twelve pups twelve years ago. I had a lot of fun with them and kept one.

UPDATE:

After learning of a females personality and seeing female dobes in person I came to the conclusion that a male would better suit what I am looking for in my dobe. So I contacted my breeder and she let me switch my pick to the a red male of the litter. He is due home with me on Sept 18... His name is Kaspar
