I would like to see people who want to post pictures of puppies for sale to post complete info so people have an idea if it is something that they are interested in. Does anyone feel this is important other than me???
It would be helpful to have Sire and Dam reg names
Name of the registry that they are reg in
Any titles of parents or grandparents
all health testing
I feel this should be a minimum of info someone would want to post rather than just pictures of puppies available.
I know from experience that one of the first questions I always get ask is are they AKC reg so it must be important at least to the more informed. I assume since I get asked it so often that people have been taken and assumed their dog was AKC reg when not the case. Apparently not everyone is up front and honest and just etll people the dog is reg and they don't think to ask where??? With so many fly by night registeries now this is important info for anyone seeking a purebred dog.
The other question I almost always get asked is Vwd status.
Now I post my health testing on the web site but People don't read it.
All those questions are ones that I would ask if I was purchasing a puppy and have in writing.

Not to start any problems regarding this issue but my preference would be to not try to use this forum to sell puppies at all. There are plenty of sites out there where you can list your litters for sale. Also I think many breeders take the time to invest in nice websites to also show what their puppies available are and health testing done. Also show pictures, working titles and accomplishments. I am not saying it is wrong to post pics of babies but would really rather see puppies for sale left off this site. Just my personal opinion not sure how everyone else may feel about this but .......if you feel the need to post puppy pics then post that you have a litter and include a website address where you can post pedigrees, health testing, etc.
I agree with Dobs4ever it is important to me as well. To see who the dog is registered through...health testing, pedigrees etc. But since I think it would be very difficult to tie up space on this forum in doing so I think it is best left to other places not here. I like the way you include your web address in your signature line of all of your posts. People can go directly to your site and make their own informed decisions through your website.

Well actually Rhiannon I am with you on this one but it seems we have posted pictures and say they have puppies available but give no info. That always makes me nervous - New people might not know to ask certain questions and make a mistake thinking that because they are listed here they must be OK.
My question was really in response to pictures that have already been posted with absoultely no info. Even though my puppies were already placed I did post complete health info when I posted just so everyone would not be guessing- I was not advertising the puppies because they were all spoken for. I had not intened to post about them at all as I did not feel it appropriate or as you say did not want to take up the space - bit it happened and so will apologize to everyone if I took up too much space. I know people like to see pictures and get to know each other but this concerns me greatly as breeding is a very serious business and should be done correctly.
I feel as you do that to post pictures and say I have puppies available is to me advertising and there are places to do that. But at least if you post them then please give complete info for all concerned.

Oh no please don't take it the wrong way I don't mean what you posted because yours were already sold and what I was referring to was that if people posted and don't reduce their photo size and then send pedigrees etc it really takes a lot of space on the threads which is why I feel it is better to do it the way that you do. And you do all of the health testing. Post your website address. I think it is okay to post a picture and you don't use the site to sell your puppies. I just don't feel that with all of the sites available to us this needs to be done here. My belief is that if people post to the site I have puppies available it looks as if DobermanHub is saying that they are an acceptable breeder. This can eventually lead to some very serious complications and like the last problem we had with someone and puppies and then finding out they were not AKC etc. I think it is best left off this site. I think the other day I did a search and found over 61 sites for breeders to list puppies on. So I am with you. Again I see nothing wrong with posting pictures and getting to know people. Even I love to look at puppy pictures. Now if we could just fix it so that you could smell their little puppy breath while we view the pictures .......:D

I am seriously thinking it would make us rich......and think of the therapists we could put out of work.....hehehe:D
Good points. I just enjoy looking at puppy pictures. You can also ask questions if you want to know more. Let's keep the pictures though.
