What are you guys doing for the 4th of July? I love our country and want to celebrate but just wish it wasn't always in the country, near me. It does make it fun to watch but the animals aren't enjoying it.

Our dogs are use to the gunshots etc.and we are the only county near Tulsa allowing fireworks so Im sure the sky will be lite up. We just bring the dog in or with us outside. They aren't scared but just running around trying to figure out why all these lights and noises. It's like they are trying to protect us and don't know which direction the threat is. Confusing at most.

The sad thing about this celebration is that it absolutely scares the horses! They run around and even putting them in the barn, they remain upset. I can't imagion the deer and all the other creatures fright. What do you guys think?

What's happening in your area? I think I'll just light a candle and hope it's all quick.....lol

I am with you on this one. Sad thing is that I am also deathly afraid of fireworks. Won't even go with anyone to watch them. I put my horses in the barn and turn on music for them but would rather they be in a smaller enclosed area rather than out in our pasture. Our neighbor kids are always shooting fireworks off on either side of us. My dogs are all indoors with me so they do okay we just turn the tv on a little louder. I just don't think that animals can understand what it is all about and I would much rather have them be safe than sorry. Have a great 4th of July everyone. :)
