Earlier this month Ceili was rushed to the vet because of an intestinal obstruction. I stupidly didn't catch it at first because she was vomiting. I didn't know what caused that but I was not overly concerned. I should have been.
She got to the vets the first thing in the a.m. but they didn't do surgery until the late afternoon! Then, she was sent home still groggy and in pain. I got her to a second vet who needed to do more surgery because the first one came open and released fecal material into her intestines.
This outbreak caused a massive infection. Over the next week Ceili needed several more surgeries due to reopening of her intestines.
It was touch and go for quite a while due to the infection and the weak state of her intestines.
Thank God! At this point that is no longer a danger. Unfortunately, she is now battling the damage to her esophagus due to the repeated regurgitation. As a result of this she cannot eat or drink without throwing up.
To help her she has a tube going directly into her stomach for food and water. The vet reassures me that this eventually this will resolve.
As you can imagine this is all very costly.
The vet has been more than kind in giving Ceili direct attention and not pressuring me to pay upfront. Ceili beat the odds in surviving the repeated surgery and the infection. She is a living miracle, which I greatly appreciate.
I would truly appreciate any help you may give in Ceili's behalf.

Ceili has given me a huge miracle. I sincerely hope that you can help Ceili keep this miracle alive.
