What does he know. I've seen a number of list that put the Doberman in second. Top 5 isn't bad though.

Yeah I've read that Doberman's are the second most intelligent dog. Having said that, I couldn't find any lists that rank them that high. Oh well...5th isn't bad.
Even I have heard that Doberman is Second. But... Who cares?? That must have been on the experience of that list creator.. lolzz... His Doberman might have ditched his kid and in revenge that guy has pulled Doberman to 5th.. :D

Me too, Kenny. Dob's are #1. Of course my girl peed on the mattress last night, so she's not too smart in that department yet. But I DID just get her! I am so happy! :D

Actually, poodles are very intelligent. I have two of them and have raised three others through the years. They can be very annoying, stubborn dogs, but they really are smart. Of course I raise full-sized poodles not toy or teacup varieties. Maybe they're different.

I have had bad experiences with Dobermans! I mean... I gave them to my friends as I was not able to control them. I had 2 dobermans which did really annoying things. So... even I say that 5th place is the correct place for dobermans!

What the heck are you talking about? Your on a Doberman website buddy.
I think you need to do some research and learn how to properly train a dog. There are no bad dogs, just bad owners.

I've seen a list with the Doberman in second, only behind the Australian Shepherd.

It sounds like your really not a dog lover at all. I wonder what your intentions are on this forum?

We just got a puppy, and boy is he smart! I have to be careful, he has already out smarted me twice now.
Watch a Doberman puppy for 1 hour and then try to debate their intelligence.

I think it is important for people to remember that this forum, though very new, has members from all over the world. I've noticed that some people get frustrated with some of the posts. I think, in some instances, words get lost in translation. DobermanHub has many members who are not English speaking and writing in English is difficult. So let's give them a break.

Good point Big Red Machine. What we read as offensive may never have been intended to do so. Having said that, we do have people register that have nothing better to do than bother people.
We would like anyone who feels a post is offensive to report it to an administrator. We also ask that members try not to get involved in arguments within the a thread.
