The big baby was too chicken to try the chicken. Took me 5 minutes to get him in the kitchen. He always thinks he's being tricked into something :)

how funny.. My dobies would be thinking the same, this must be a trick LOL. Maybe start with some hamburger instead. The chicken may be just too sterile for him.

Well - I was going to say mine would come on over but they only get their chicken cooked so they would think it strange also.

I would hazard a guess that the chicken was in too big of a peice for him for his first time. When I start a dog on raw, I always cut the peices smaller so they can eat them without having to disect a carcass all on their own. As funny as it sounds, when they have been fed other diets, most dogs just don't know how to eat raw in the whole carcass form. I would start him with some chicken necks or backs (I'd cut the backs in half though), and let him work his way up from there. He would be eating like a pro in no time.
