Black markings

What is the deal with the black marlkngs on toes and front of ankles? Absolutely know nothing about this puppy other than there is Carolon breeding in her history onsire's side! But she has gorgeous tight tight cat feet with very black markings on toes and ankles? She has beautiful feet!!! I am totally thrilled!!!

pics?I have a friend coming on Wednesday and she will help take pics. the toes have black stripes and a larger black spot on the front of the ankle. My red boy has similar marking in red of course. I have been told that this is generally an indication of the Europeon dogs. Her markings are very crisp, not muddied, and I love the black on the rust. Will send photos!

Hali has that and she is Euro.

It is also tied with the Warlock myth -The person in Texas who started the Warlock Doberman as a sale gimmick claimed that the black on toes and ankles showed the "Warlock" breeding. But it is usually true of the Euro bloodlines because they have darker markings.

Ch Borong the Warlock was sired by Ch Astor v Grenzweg (Euro breeding) from Ch Florowill Allure (Dictator) it is a safe assumption that the europeon breeding theory on markings holds true. It still amazes me how many breeders, term used loosely, still refer this dog as if he just sired a litter yesterday. the DPCA has very interesting article regarding as Dobs mentioned "the Warlock Myth" .

Olive's got them as well and she's got a euro background. I have also noticed that her rust areas are not as bright as some--more of a darker rust.
