Hi folks! Each morning, I find one or two forums to join so that I can spread the word about our new project.
My name is Bec Bermudez and I run Pipsqueak Paddocks Miniature Horse Haven Society. (pipsqueakpaddocks.com) We are a Miniature Horse rescue in BC, Canada.
We have started a fundraising project this summer that can actually help any registered Canadian Charity! We are making fun T-Shirts - and we have one for Doberman fans too!
I would like to invite you to our new website to have a look at the shirts. The Doberman one is on the sub-page titled "...Dogs...". If you order a shirt, you can specify which Charity will get your donation!

Bec - What a great effort and I wish you luck in preserving horses in Canada - You might not be aware but the Doberman's have their own rescue group which falls under the DPCA our parent club. All monies for Dobermans should go through our DPCA sponsored program IMO.
In fact we have several very dedicated people on this list who do a tremendous work in rescue and would come before donating to a generic club.

BecVery nice idea. I also have a WHITE mini, 33 inches, stallion and just a sweet easy to get along with little guy. Partially blind as he was kicked by a horse in the head. When I first got him my male dobe must have thought he was Pyrennes (sp) or something, he was extremely amorous! Oh Well, Patrick put him in his place..LOL...

Good luck with saving the minis in Canada.. I do have to say my efforts and funds go to my local doberman rescue and the local SPCA.

Unless I misread her post she indicated that upon ordering a shirt, the charity of choice would be yours? Is that perhaps, just for mini's or for all charities. Maybe I am misundertanding as I do agree with the concept of taking care of one's own first! And we certainly have an abundance of dobes that need OUR help in this country!
