Bolt has a small bald spot on right side. Actually, he had something like a pimple and when it dried up it took away the hair with it. Also I can see many spots on his hind legs where density of hair is lesser and skin is slightly visible.
The vet gave me a syrup which I have been giving him since last 2 weeks. His coat is softer and shines more but those spots are still there.
Any suggestions?

It may take a while for hair to regrow. Have you asked your vet if there is a topical that can help?

Ya, we got him wormed when we brought him home. I have read that it may take even a month before the coat shows some improvement. He has started getting the shine and coat is smoother. May be it will take some more time to fill up the bald spots. I am thinking of giving him cod liver oil tablets. College has kept me from taking him to vet. Will take him today.
thnx everybody for replying.

thnx everybody for replying. The name is very misleading, but Ringworm is not a worm but a fungal infection that invades the hair and follicles. Is somewhat circular in size and can range from a size of dime to much larger. Causing hair to fall out in the area. Has a tendencey to be in the face area although it can also be found on other areas of the body. It is scaly , crusty and as it heals becomes very smooth and does take some time to grow hair back. Try to google it and it will give you several photos as well. I think I remember reading somewhere that dampness can promote ringworm. Good Luck
