Considering a Doberman or a German Pinscher (Suggestions welcome)

What are some things I should know about both breeds as a perspective owner?

How is a German Pinscher different from a Doberman other than the size?

Well I have been looking at this post for a while and to my surprise no one has given you any information so I will tell you what I know. German Pincher's are as you stated much smaller as with most small dogs they tend to have a big dig attitude which can be an issue sometimes they tend to be a little more high strung then a Dobe as a whole in general. I would recommend a Dobe before I would a Pincher if there are younger children in the house as Pin's are not as tolerant as a Dobe and tend to nip. They are both great watch dogs with the Dobe attracting a little more respect when viewed by an unwanted stranger. Both of these dogs need training and attention.
