I am talking about HELPING you and not entertaining you.

Every Doberman entertains, but, not all help you.

My Doberman Helps a lot of times.

Here is one situation.

Once, My Kids are Playing in the backyard with Zeke and
suddenly a small non poisonous snake entered the field.
Zeke started pushing my kids with her front legs, but.. My
kids were not noticing anything. So, she jumped on my little
kid and then, my kid ran to me followed by my elder girl!!

I was totally surprised and happy with this. Then, I went in
the backyard and saw the dog barking at the snake. I took
a iron rod and killed that snake and found that the snake was
non poisonous.

However.. Zeke saved my kids from a dangerous situation
even though the snake was harmless.(but, it could have bitten
my kids)

:) I LOVE MY DOBERMAN :)

and I bet Zeke is the best Doberman in this forum!!!

{sorry for my bad english}

Hey great story. I bet as the site matures this will become a very popular thread. Dobermans are so smart, that I'm sure there will be members with interesting stories.

Great story for sure. My guy Brian hasn't done anything too great yet. But he does help smile and forget life's problems.

Great story Doberman.

My guy, Frankie, once alerted me of someone in the backyard. Normally Frankie doesn't bark for any reason. It was about midnight or so and I let him out before bed.

As soon as he went outside his head went up in the air and he took the famous "Doberman stance". Right away I new he could smell something different. Frankie let out a growl that would make anyone fill their pants. He took off to the back of our property, about 200 feet.

I heard someone yell "call off your dog". Frankie had cornered this man against the fence. I flew out the door, still not really understanding what was happening. When I got there, this guy was standing with his back to the fence, frozen in fear. Frankie had his his down low and still growling. I put my hand on his collar and tried to calm him down. Once the man saw that my hand was on the dog's collar he tuned and jumped the fence.

The next morning I was speaking to my neighbor behind us and he told me that his garage was broken into. In total, 3 properties were broken into.

Before that night I had never seen that side of my dog. It was a good reminder for me of the breed that we all love. The Doberman is instinctively a protective guardian, and It's important we all remember that.

I don't think Frankie would have hurt that guy. From what I have read the way Frankie handled business is common for Dobermans. They use the strategy "You better not move".

Cool thread. I'll have to remember to check back every so often, and see there are any new stories. Hopefully I'll have a story of my own some day.

Interesting story LuvDobe. I wonder if the guy did fill his pants. I know I would have if I was cornered by a seemingly angry Doberman.
